Hello! It's been a while since I participated in "It's Monday! What Are You Reading?", a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It's actually been a while since I've been on at all. Summer has thrown off my blogging schedule, and we took a short trip, but I am back now and going to try to get caught up this week.
Last week I finished 3 books: Icefall by Matthew Kirby, a middle reader that my son had enjoyed; An Untamed State by Roxane Gay, which has received a lot of buzz this year; and Boy, Snow, Bird by Helene Oyeyemi, which has also received a lot of buzz.
This week I will be reading Old Filth by Jane Gardam and Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel, two books from my summer TBR.
I also want to start one of the many wonderful books that I have from the library. I am leaning toward either This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz, Ruby by Cynthia Bond, or Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler.
What should I read next?

ReplyDeleteYou have some great books here. I'll be especially interested to hear what you think of Old Filth. Picked it up at a library sale, but haven't gotten to it yet. Maybe you'll convince me to move it up closer to the top of the pile.

ReplyDeleteI just recently read a glowing review of Ruby! Hope you love it. I really enjoyed Fun Home but read Bechdel's newest earlier this year and didn't like it as much. Hope you enjoy all of these!
